Quality Reviewer Job Description
This is a seasonal position (January - April)
Quality Reviewers review returns at completion. A preprinted questionnaire is used to make sure return was done correctly and tax filer signs the appropriate documents and has all copies before they leave.
Responsibilities:
• Performs a quality review of returns prepared by volunteer tax preparers.
Checks for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepares tax returns as needed depending on site volume.
• Assists other tax preparers with more complex tax returns that include
issues such as itemizations, write-offs, stocks, bonds, etc.
Qualifications:
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Must complete and pass both "Basic" and "Intermediate" level IRS
training and certification tests (approx 8 hours).
• Strong computer skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to be flexible with volunteer hours (availability is on weekdays,
weeknights, and weekends)
• Ability to volunteer a minimum of 16 hours during the tax season
(January 17 - April 17)
