VITA stands for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance. It's a volunteer based program that provides FREE tax preparation to households earning $50,000 or less. All volunteers are trained and certified through the Internal Revenue Service.
Please note, VITA cannot prepare your tax return if any of the following apply:
- You have farm income
- You have rental income
- You have foreign income
If you meet one of these criteria, we'd be happy to provide you with a referral to a reputable certified public accountant.
